Forest Therapy walks (Forest Bathing) at St. Placid Priory
“The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground –
trees that were pleasing to the eye…” (Genesis 2: 9a)
Through Forest Bathing, often called Forst Bathing, we rest in God’s presence, immerse ourselves in nature, and receive its holistic benefits. Research in Forest medicine shows these practices offer lasting support for body, mind, and spirit, including:
Enhanced mental health
Boosted immune function (increased NK cell activity)
Improved cardiovascular health
Lower cortisol, better focus, memory, energy, and sleep
Deeper awareness of God’s invisible qualities revealed in creation (Romans 1:20)
Winter’s quiet beauty invites reflection, renewal, and the release of old burdens.
