Zoom: Cinema Divina – On Prayer

With M Freeman

May 2, 2021

Offering the ordinary rhythms of an ordinary day as profound realms of devotion and possibility, this Cinema Divina session is inspired by Thomas Merton’s A Book of Hours, a glorious handbook for the aspiring and the practiced contemplative. Marilyn will guide participants through a contemplative screening process with the short film made for this session, On Prayer—a meditation through dawn, day, dusk and dark. Participants will be invited into reverent silences, writing, sharing and spacious listening.
