This card was hand drawn by Sister Monika with a variety of ink pens on light tan paper. The origins of this symbol pre-date the Christian era in Ireland. It was used to celebrate the three stages of a woman’s life: Maiden, Mother, and Crone. In the later Christian time it typically symbolized the Trinity. This beautiful image has depth and richness. It is suitable for framing.
Our new blog is active as of May 5, 2023. Sisters will post once a week on Fridays. See what our Sisters have to say about living Monastic Life in the 21st Century.
