Day of the Dead Retreat; A weekend where we will learn the real meaning of this Festive Celebration. We will merge two ancient traditions. In the Monastic tradition; the Rule of Benedict says: “Keep death daily before your eyes”, and in the Mexican Tradition we celebrate: “Dia de los Muertos”. Join Sister Paz in this traditional adventure where you will learn how to create your own Offering altar for the Day of the Dead, and you will practice “Statio,” a solemn monastic procession. We will sing in “Spanglish”, remember our losses and see the joy in all of them.
