The Sisters always need help! Help with our grounds, at the Priory as receptionist, in our Spirituality Center answering the telephone, greeting guests, preparing rooms for guests, or doing any number of special projects. To find out more about volunteering occasionally at the Priory, please call 360-438-1771 and ask for the House Coordinator. If you’d like to help at the Spirituality Center, call Janice Ariza at 360-438-2595 or email her at spiritualityctr@stplacid.org.
Live-In Volunteer
NOTE: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are not accepting live-in volunteers at this time.
We also have a live-in volunteer program for women. A likely candidate for this program would be willing to work at various tasks as assigned, and be willing to live, pray, eat and enjoy recreation with the Sisters in the monastery. She would have some interest in Benedictine spirituality, and be comfortable with some silence. Live-in volunteers may stay from two months to a year. It takes up to a month to complete the application process, so give yourself plenty of time when mutually planning your volunteer experience with the director. If you are interested in this possibility, please contact Sister Lucy at 360-438-2595 days, 360-438-1771 evenings, or email her at LWYNKOOP@stplacid.org.
