1990 – Planning the Third Monastery

Sister Sharon (Marie) McDonald was elected our fifth prioress. Plans for the construction of a new monastery continued.

January 29 – Meeting with the Lacey City Council

Priorywood Daycare closed. We sold our priory/high school complex to a Japanese university that took the name Lacey Pacific College and spent a year sharing the building with lively students. We then dispersed to numerous locations, living in “diaspora.”

 

Oct. 7 – Groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of our third monastery were held.
